This is an odd request...
I recently saw a photo of a M1A(1)? the Abrahams had no turret, but a large piece of metal (bolted?) over the whole thing....
I surf at least 25 modeling/military sites a night,
I'm not sure where I saw it... so I thought I'd ask for help...
My brain just put two and two together.....
and I need to see that photo again.

The only thing that comes to my mind is the M1 Panther 2 mineclearing vehicle minus the mineroller.

Never mind... I finally rubbed enough brain cells together (cheers) to kinda remember where...
I was following the 'rhino anti-IED' google search with variations.. and 32 levels deep I saw that photo......
I just wanted to see it again to see if it was a "type of Tusk cover" for the roof of the Abrams against the newest RPG designs.

So yah going to post a link so we can at least see what you were talking about???

32 levels deep?... I have no Idea where it is... but I wanted to let everyone know how hopeless the search would be
...and ask if there was anyone as photo appetite as I am, and maybe saw it.
In this, last month or so I've DL'ed 14,000 + images of 'armor'...
the issue for me is... that I don't think I DL'ed that one, because at the time I didn't realize what I might be looking at

I've been trying to retrace my tracks, for 3hrs now,,,, LOL

Maybe the "Diesel" demonstrator I have seen in pics from some defense exhibit ?
I recall a tan painted hull with out the turret but a metal plate covering the opening.
