I noticed DEF resin wheels GAZ-233014 STS Tiger Sagged Wheel set 1 are designed for Meng's model. Does anyone know how they fit Xact Scale Model offering?

Cheers,
Mario

I have both kits and the DEF Models wheels, as soon as I can I will check and let you know.

Now that you asked the question, I couldn't wait, even though I should be working.

Anyway, the simple answer is no. The Meng kit has a small bit that fits into the wheel, whereas the Xact kit has the extended part on the wheel that fits into the Brake housing. It looks like, with a bit of work they can be made to fit, but the one thing that I can't check is that because the Xact kit has the better detailed brakes, this may foul the DEF wheels. Until I construct the Xact kit, I can't tell for certain. I am half way through the Meng kit.

When I have a bit more time, I will cut the Xact parts of the sprues and try it more carefully, as I would like to know for certain as I would buy another set of DEF wheels if so.

Graham, thanks for the answer.

If you do manage to try fitting DEF wheels to Xact model, please let me know how it goes. I did hear the wheels Xact includes in Tiger kit are pretty good, but I would prefer DEF offering as it is resin.

Cheers,
Mario
