Hi guys!

It looks a great model of a giant vehicle.

I know it's a prototype, but is beautiful and it'll be paint in desert 3 tone camo. Yes, it'll be an what if.

I just started the build. I like to close the vehicle before build all other details.

So, look some pics:

Front plate:

Main body:

More pics later.

Cheers!

I would be interested to see how HB tackled the suspension.

Hi H.H.!

I want to post an update later today. Not the suspension yet, but looking to the pieces and instructions and without know the real thing, I think it's good, just it.

BTW, I'm loving this kit.

Cheers!

There's something about the shape the Boxer that gives it a certain meanacing elegance. I hope to get around to doing the Revell one in the near future.

Hi guys!

Yes Sean, I feel the same and want to buy the new ambulance version.

Thanks H.H.! Seeing the pics I can say the HB kit is a very good representation of this prototype. Let's see how it'll be in desert livery.

Cheers!

Hi guys!

This thing is huge:

Now, the update:

Rear amor, ramp and door:

Looks really strong, doesn't it?

Now, it's time to close the sides:

And close the top of the beast:

In the front part, first we need to glue the lights and an air intake (?) before add the part to the main body. I didn't finnish this part because I'm still painting the lights from inside.

As you could see, the kit is fantastic and very easy to build.

More pics ASAP.

Cheers!

Hi guys!

Here another update on my Boxer:

Suspention - I'll show you just one side, because they are mirrored:

Front details and front and rear springs:

First and last axes:

Second axis:

Third axis:

So far, so good. The model is very easy to build, no major problems.

More later.

Cheers!

Hi Christophe!

Thanks man! in truth, it's my first attempt in an step-by-step build log.

I hope it can help those who want to build the same model.

More pics (maybe) today.

Cheers!

Hi guys!

Is time to complete the suspension, again I'll sohow just one side:

Front:

Rear pieces:

and everything together:

Wheels and tires:

And the beast can rest on its own feet:

The supension is really strong and is almost impossible, because of a smart engineering, we don't have all the wheels touching the ground at the same time.

Looks even bigger, doesn't it?

More latter.

Cheers!

Hi guys!

The Boxer is growing.

So, an update.

Starting glue the little (and not so little) pieces.

First on the back:

Towing hook (it's a beautiful part):

And all the other things, minus the mud flaps:

And the mud flaps (each one has two big popout marks that I won't show because they are so ugly and I forgot to take pics of them):

Soom, you'll see the top of the Boxer.

Cheers!

Hi guys!

Thanks Sean! I'm waiting for the new anbulance version.

So, an update:

Drivers hatch (I'll use just the upper part):

The exaust (it isn't just a pipe):

Commander's hatch and gun mount:

Although it seems convincent, it's hard to build and don't have some atachment points.

Now, those little black parts that I'll paint separately:

And everything right to paint:

Next, paint work pics.

Cheers!

Hi guys!

Paint time!

I always wanted to paint an model in those german three tone desert scheme.

As I don't have especific sets with correct colors and don't have time to buy an wait one of these, I did my own colors and I think they are good and the vehicle will looks very similar to the real.

So, lets see the step-by-step:

First of all, a light hand of automotive grey primer:

Them, is time to make the "sand" color that I used as base.

To do this color, I used white, yellow, a little red and almost nothing black automotive colors. This mix result in:

After the first color sets, I mixed yellow, black and white to get a light, faded, olive drab and aplied it in the same position of the black in the original three tone camo:

The last color is a RLM79 that I had already ready in my paint tray and, I aplied in the same place of the NATO brown:

Is it perfect? I don't think so. But I think it's a good representation of this beautiful scheme! Hope you liked.

Next decals, varnish and weathering.

Cheers!

Hi guys!

After a long time w/o any news about my Boxer (camera problems), here the last updates and pics of the finnished model.

I used raw amber oil paint and turpentine to made the pin wash and acrylic artist paint mixed with Vallejo black and wather to did some kind of filter. After paint the final details, I used a mix of VA sand pigment, VA Iraq Sand and water to did the watering.

You can see the result below (hope you like):

Cheers!
