Trumpeter has announced a T-10M
Now Meng does the same and Trumpeter "reacts"
by advertising the early T-10 so the
answer is Yes and No (one same, one different)
I would go for Mengs T-10M. Trumpeter seems
to be the only early T-10 but who knows what
Meng is planning ...

I meant a more in detail question. Two mutually incompatible variants of the T-10M existed: the Kirov as Object 272 and Chelyabinsk as Object 734. Does anyone know which one is represented in the CADs from Meng? According to Wikipedia, the Kirov version became standard later.

The Trumpeter kit was announced at least a year ago,and is in this years catalog. Meng's announcment is out of the blue. They are not related in any way either.

This is great news. I've wanted to see a kit of this charismatic heavy tank for decades. The T-10 was used in the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia, and there is a fair amount of photo evidence showing them in Prague with the White Stripe invasion markings. The turret casting is really, really rough on these beasts, so hopefully the pics are not the actual production prototype.

Fixed that for you.

Incredible! This looks fantastic! I'll have to add this to my Soviet / Russian tank stash! When will it be out?
