Rob Pollock's photos show many stages in the building and painting of his version of MiniArt's tram, depicting an "Only for Jews" tram of the Warsaw Ghetto.

Outstanding tram diorama with a very chilling subject matter.

By the way Rob, I particularly like the work you did on the bottom part of the tram - those photos on page 1 of this feature of the dark, very matt, dusty, slightly rusty chassis really look the part.

Outstanding reminder of the true purpose and meaning of the murderous 3rd Reich.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I noted that after taking the photos, I'd neglected to add the Star of David armbands for the adults and the S/D badge for the girl, which I've now done (hand painted).

Great subject, only one thing you must change - "ul. ŻelaZana" not "ul. ŻelaSna" on the fort of tram

Thanks. The details were taken from an archive photo of the time. Not a Polish speaker myself, so wonder if original might have been done by German authorities.

Hi Rob, I really like it when such a moving story is presented in diorama form. Nice work on this one!
Also, nice work on the tower wiring. MiniArt doesn’t make that part very clear. What did you use as a reference … or are you an electrician?

Hi Mike,
Surprisingly there are several tram overhead references on line. I used these and a little added detail with PE from spares etc to add interest. I found out later you can in fact buy insulators in scale, but mine look OK I guess. I added a supporting rod at a diagonal from the top of the post to the horizontal section, in brass, as the overhead line tended to pull the sections out of shape, I think because of the 'play' in the thin plastic sections.
