Who makes the most detailed M60 MG in 1/35?

I would bet it might be in a figure kit, but I'd like to know if there is a good one out there? Is it possible to build a good one without PE?

Thanks,
Dave

Dragon's is probably the best in plastic. It comes in quite a few of their figure sets and 2 come in their Modern Machine Gun Set.

They also have an M60C (heli / vehicle mount w/spade grips) and am M60A in their Vietnam Heli Crew figures set.

In resin, currently Tank Model's M60A looks good.

Bravo 6 is supposed to be coming out with a really nice M60C as part of their M23 doorgun set as well.

The Academy M1025 Humvee has a really nice M60 (the best I have ever seen for vehicle mounting purposes. I usually cut the carrying handle off and glue it down against the heat shield.

This kit is an old one and very affordable. You can pick it up here for about the equivalent of $10.

The best M60's I have seen (IMO) came from the Academy UH-1C Huey.

The kit comes with two, as well as various frag and smoke grenades. Admittedly, I doubt it would be worth the money just for two MG's.

Some of us have mentioned our interest in some good 1/35 M60's to Live Resin. If they do make them, and they are anything like their M240's and 249's, it will be well worth it.

Awesome, they look great Vlad. If they have the same amount of detail that your M60D's look like they are going to have - they will be well worth the wait.

That's a good looking pig! I really like the fact that you can adjust the rear sight, carrying handle and bipod legs the way you want. Thanks Vlad!

I was looking for one in resin, too, and the Live Resin ones all seem to be the slightly different M240C.

the slightly different M240C.

The M240 is quite different from the M60. From a distance they are visually similar, and if that's what you were getting at, I agree, but not up close. They are not at all the same or even deriviatives of the same weapon.

The M240 is a variant of the Belgian FN MAG. The M60 is an American design with some features developed from the MG42.

Vlad, question on your M23 set - does it come with the canvas cartridge collector bags?

That's some nice looking resin btw!
