Does anyone make a 35th tanker or tank crew suitable to use on an USMC M1A1 AIM serving in Afghanistan? Just finishing up my Dragon/PSM conversion and wanted to add a figure or 2. Thanks.

I thought those were for the US Army. Do Marines have the same body armor?

Thanks Hans-Hermann I haven't seen that Masterbox figure set yet.

Jason, Djiti makes a Marine AFV crewman with the FROG combat shirt and new vest they were using in Afghanistan. I have one downstairs and it's pretty nice. Unfortunately, it's just a single. When the Interceptor vests were in use the Army and Marines both used them, the only difference was the outer shell color. I got issued the woodland vest and a coyote brown shell and told to put the ballistic panels in the coyote shell. The MasterBox set is wearing the Inerceptor vests and nomex coveralls, the Marines went to a different vest so maybe they would be okay for A-stan depending on what time frame you were depicting. Ya need a score card to keep track of the gear changes...

That's why I ask! Is this the Djiti figure you referred to?

Here's another from MAsterbox- this may work. It doesn't specifically say USMC, but they were the only tank crews deployed to Afghanistan. Also mentions it can be used for the LAV.

I guess I should also ask... say a time frame of roughly 2008-2010 (I don't have a specific date in mind and the pictures I found online aren't dated)- what would be the correct camo? MARPAT? Sorry for all the questions

EDIT: now that I look, it seems to be just a light tannish color with the vests "coyote" like you called it.

Jason, Djiti 35012 is the one I have, like I said it's pretty nice. The uniform on it would be MARPAT desert with the coyote brown body armor. The Marines in the Masterbox set with the kids would also have the coyote vest and tan nomex coveralls. For the time frame you're looking at the Modular Tactical Vest was/is in use, which the Djiti figure is wearing if I'm not mistaken. You probably wouldn't see a mix of body armor within a Marine unit while they're doing their pre-deployment work up they have a 'captive audience' and can issue gear en masse, especially with items like that. Field Drab is an almost perfect match for coyote brown

Thank you. I saw your post that the Masterbox had the incorrect body armor. Looks like Djiti is the way to go
