Well, you all might have been getting sick of my M1A1 questions, but I am really working on a kit...

So, here are a few photos of where I stand so far. It will be pretty much OOB outside of maybe a barrel. Don't think I am going to to aftermarket tracks on this one, but you never know.

I have to say, that I think the finished anti-slip of the hull looks really cool, but man, all that masking is a bear.

Looking good! I'm not sure what kind of tracks came with your Tamiya M1, but I can absolutely vouch for the Bronco M1A1/A2 tracks. A pain to build, and a bit of a pain to paint as well, but they are pretty fabulous.

They are the rubber band ones with the 'chevron' type track pads. Not the newer bigfoot tracks. I actually have to check around and see when the A1s stopped using them, or if there is a hard and fast rule about them.

I think I had a box of the AFV club A1/A2 bigfoot tracks in my hide, but not sure about the Bronco ones.

My guess is that Bronco T-158LL tracks would be too recent for a A1 fitted with a hull-mounted EAPU like yours (IIRC these were phased out circa 1993)

Great stuff so far John, what did you use for the anti-slip?

Hi Seth,

I had thought it was Krylon, but I actually used a Rustoleum multicolor textured paint. Tan colored. If you need it can upload a photo of the can.
