Excellent, I held off on their earlier release hoping they'd do this version. Definitely will be buying.
It seems of all the manufacturers, Meng is one where I "have to" have nearly all of their releases (only surpassed by Wingnut Wings).

Yeah, my references given to Meng finally paid off.

Perhaps they should look at selling the add on armor as an update set by itself for those who have the original in their stash and unbuilt!Keith.

Can someone post pics of it? The firewall here at work blocks the link. Yeah, I should be working, but....

Excellent. Funny, no word yet over on the "varsity" site. Perhaps someone should let them know.

It looks like a PzH 2000, camouflaged in beige and some pale green colour with the spike-armour being a darker green, sort of looks like a balding mans badly designed toupé ;-)
And it has got those red & white diagonal stripes on the
front end of the mud shields (a nice touch of colour ...)

How did they do it, come on Meng we need to know!? Didn't we all come to the conclusion this type of armor could not accurately be reproduced in 1/35th without a rather large headache?

This would be great but i suppose they will not!

Already have the first release as well as the revell offering but this is a temptation!

Please MENG consider to offer separate the addon armor parts!

and I LITERALLY just broke down and bought the first version!
I would love to see the add on armor as a separate kit, but I doubt they would do it.

true- I was thinking that I may do the original kit in Greek markings and then get the new one foe German ISAF markings.

Build a PzH 2000 in its european environment without the add-on-armor and german or NL monster in A'stan with this green packages. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think we can find the add-on-armor nearly solely in theaters of operation due to its extra weight.

Thanks Michael!

Interesting news ...anxious to see how they solved the rather complex add-on armor (all those knobs)... the "soft" plastic is probably the likely solution.
If MENGs approach is good then the PUMA would be a logical future release.
Got my second 2000 (German this time) build ready for the NATO-camo the Umtarn -version is also quite tempting, but the tracks are a real pain .....
I would rather try this new crew set from Valkyrie :
