Here is one of my latest creations. I converted the Italeri M925 to a M931 using the Real Models conversion and wheels. The trailer is also a Real Models kit with scratch built ladders, spare tire mount, and other details.
I made the base from a plague I got at Hobby Lobby, all the ground covering are from plants and moss I found in my yard.

Very nice. I have converted the 5-ton into an M932A1 (single six wheels). I would like to get the fuel trailer as well. Good job on it.

Great looking 5 ton. A M931 is on my list of trucks to build. Right now I'm working on a M934. Now I'll have to find me another kit. Keep the trucks coming.

Nice model !.. I'm working on the same combination at the moment and I did see in an older post that you were planning to replace the axcles from the m969 with tube brass.
Did that work or did you use the original resin parts from RM?

The instructions from RM are indeed very fuzzy and I had to search on the net for many pictures and TM's.

hopefully this will expline what I did

I know the suspension is out of wack. that is a mistake on my part when I glued the frame to the tank. I did the best I could to make it look right when the trailer is on its wheels.
Yes, the kit it rough, but its one of RM's first kits, as we all know, his work is light years ahead of what it was then.

EDIT, its suppose to say that holes where drilled into the M925 kit parts for the metal rod that goes through the hollow plastic tubing.

What a great build, reminds me of the Military Convoys I used to see on the German Highways.

Edit: I even may replace the leaf springs with one another truck kit. The ones from RM are very crappy and small parts broke off.

I was just looking at some aftermarket leaf springs from Minor models, but they are only for the M1078 series.

the M1078 springs won't work, The parts in the trailer kit are copies of M925 parts, so if you can find a Italeri kit cheap, that would be the way to go

Thought so, but to buy an entire M925 kit just to use the leaf springs is a little bit odd !!
I/ll have to give it some serious thoughts !!!.

I was able to but me an M923a1 kit ( Italeri ) for a very good price.
So now I can use the rear bogie spring assembly with some additions for the M969 trailer.
