Can the newest Wittmann Tiger Early released by Dragon be built as a Tiger that took part in Kursk, specifically S33? I ended up with 2 of them and was trying to think of what markings to use on the second one. Thanks!

I guess that you mean S33 of Großdeutschland;

That's an earlier Tiger than S04. It has the wider turret bin, the holes above the driver's visor, and the earlier type of side mudguards which are a different length to the standard ones. All of this stuff could be obtained from Tamiya's "Afrika Tiger" kit, which is in fact much closer to S33 than what you have.

You would need the earlier type of Feifel cans too, but I see the Großdeutschland Tigers running around without them.

Tamiya messed up and didn't provide the longer cleaning rods, with 3 on one side of the tank and 2 on the other. You would need those too. And I think S33 didn't use the exhaust shields, though the welded mounts should be on the rear wall.

And those were just the date issues.

You would need the "thick" mantlet for S33. It isn't included in the S04 kit.

You would need to convert the kit from a Befehlstiger to a standard Tiger. That involves removing a few things.
