Hair spray chipping, wax based paints?

I just purchased 4 tubes of AK interactive true metal. Its the first time I've used none acrylic based paints. Can these be chipped using the hair spray technique or will there be complications?
P.S what type of finish coat will not dull the polished metallic paint?
