I would like to build the AAVP-7 with the extra armour. For this I am looking for pictures from the real thing.
AEF designs has a special set for the Tamiya AAVP for the extra armour. Can anyone tell me if it is any good ?

Thanks in advance,
Marc

Here is one.

You can go to AFV Interiors for more info as well.

Sorry, don't know anything about the AEF set.

Concord speial ops 27 (I think) has a lot of good photos.
Do a search on this site for AAV7 and you will see there are numerous threads on the vehicle, the EEAK and the AEF EEAK set.

Concord Spec OPs 26 and 27 both have piles of reference pictures. I just got them this past weekend and would consider them an ideal tool for anyone looking to model OIF vehicles

Academy has issued a plastic set for the AAVP7/Bradley tracks but they have the old triangular rubber track pads. Blast Models has issued a complete resin running gear set (wheels+tracks) for the upgraded version of the AAVP7. So it depends on the version you are planning to build (both have been seen in Iraq).

There is a set in the works (Blast models perhaps?) and AEF has trown out that idea as well, might want to check their site.
Wouldn't this all be a lot easier if Tammy revamped thier old kit.....

Nope, Blast Models are working on RAMS/RS update set to complement their suspension set - it will include EAAK, new antenna mounts and new exhaust.

Another French company Propaganda is working on interior set. It will be very expensive - $60

Porkchop I don't know why but I think Tamiya is going to turn there back on updating the AAVP7A1kit which does not make sence considering they have revamped all the other kits. But when others are making aftermarket stuff that Tamiya does not have to produce and they sell the base kit why would they upgrade? But again why would they upgrade the other kits as well? It like Tamiys forgot the US Marines were there to.
