Want to convert an 1/35th Scale M-60 into an M-728 CEV. Who makes a 'conversion kit'?

There is a resin conversion out there somewhere, don't remember who made it. I heard it was pretty poor. It is not difficult to scratch build the turret boom and use the Academy M-60 kit with dozer blade. I made one using the Verlinden blade and a Tamiya M-60A3 kit a while back. There was a great write up with scale drawings on how to do it in an issue of Fine Scale Modeler magazine a few years ago, must have been in 98 or 97. If you can find the issue, it will make it easy. There have also been a few posts here about CEVs too, you could search this site too. Here is a photo of the one I made.
Hope this helps.

AEF designs is the Manufact. Hit or miss on quality w/ them....... I Think the issue was March of 95..... http://www.finescale.com/fsm/default.aspx?c=i&id=61&mid=41&auth=1f29b2ab4ce2c6572daf9a70c2088b13a27a34237c2d13adb5118ee34b7af42d

March '95 is the correct issue. If you can get a copy, you can easily build the M728 CEV. Give it a try.

Agreed on AEF. Doing scratch conversion is a fun job. I did one in 1/72 using an ESCI M60A1, spare parts, half a rear wing from a 1/24 Hasegawa XJR Jaguar for the plow and photos from Squadron's M60 in Action for reference.

I've got the AEF Kit. Haven't actually started on it, but wasn't too pleased with the turret section as it didn't mate up with the bottom half of the turrets of any of the kits I had. I went ahead and added some round styrene tubes and cut some pieces off the resin top turret and glued it to the kit top. The boom was decent, and you can chop a guntube to get the rest right. I plan on using the Dragon blade tank for my conversion.

Ditto,Blaster.
I have the same conversion and the turret mismatch you mentioned is in mine too.
So I could put the bits on a sacrificial Dozer tank.Or wait until someone does an Injected kit.

Hi to all,

I've build a M728 CEV (see pics below). It was a H&K kit. But this firm does not exist yet.
I have a copy from the Scale modeler article. If necessary, I can scan it and post it on one of my page.

Cheers
