Ok finally got rolling on this project after bouncing between a few other things I finally decided I didn't really want to do (so fickle).
Anyway, this is Verlinden's 120MM "A Bridge Too Far" (I'll be calling it something else... someing maybe more original like "The Longest Day"). Look for a small vignette.
I have named these guys the "putty kings" as they have taken a fair amount of putty just this far.

I'm also taking photos of the face paiting process using my techique with MM acrylic flesh tones. I'll post that when the heads are done.

Just as an idea (perhaps for one of our Dutch-speaking friends) as a number of us chug away on our projects, are there any museums or Arhhem websites that might be interested in linking to a gallery of our work or displaying it on their websites (or in their museums ... I sure would like a trip to Holland... if it's paid for)? Just an idea. Your thoughts?

Coming along nicely nate. Do you join the parts and then fill out with putty, or use a thin layer of milliput while joining and then cut off the stuff that squeezes out?
there looks to be nice detail on the figures ... will be nice to paint! Good luck with them!

Hey Nate

Looking good so far, I glad I'm not the only late starter in this campaign I can't wait to see the face painting post.

Looking good so far. I cant wait to see what you can do with those MM acrylic flesh paints. I am just learning the "Art" of figure painting, and have tried them on 1/35th figures and had horrible luck. I hope you can teach me something

Nate,

Glad you picked this set ! I own this set in 1/35 (1/32 ?)... I will follow the progress all the way.... I hope this gives me some inspiration and ambition to start on the camouflaged smocks...... I feel fear for this first time camouflage uniform painting.... Hope your input will take my fears away.

Hey Nate!

You're off to a nice start, too bad about all the putty work. These figures are a really cool set, you know if it is out of production or not as its an older kit?
