Were the cougar mraps equipped with additional armor like all of the other mraps were ? I havent seen any pictures of them with L rod or effector packs.

Some replaced the spare tires with a large rectangular piece of 3/8 plate.

So nothing like the large slabs seen on the 'plus' versions of the other mraps? Do you know why not?

I've yet to see such setup, but its British cousin Mastiff is often fitted with bar armor...

Slabs were installed on some of the 4x4. Not sure about the 6x6.

I was re reading squadron's mrap book and it has pictures of all the other 'heavy' mraps (caiman, buffalo, rg33l, maxpro) equipped with heavy slab armor, but not the cougar. There are pictures of all the 4x4s (again except for the cougar) with L-rod or mesh screen armor. I'm guessing there must be a reason for this but why?
