I guess you want to build the Revell Boxer? Their FLW200 is kind of hybrid between the m.g. and AGL version. So you need to check your references.

This is called weathering, maybe not as realistic as we
advanced model builders make it but it should still be
considered to be a type of weathering, it may not score
high at a model show but still ...
