BTR-70 Use in Ukraine

I'm just starting to paint my Trumpeter BTR-70 late and was wondering about its use in the Ukraine conflict. I've done some research and can only find it being used by the Ukrainians; or by the Pro-Russian Rebels captured from the Ukrainians.

I have the fantastic modern Russian figures from Evolution & Black dog and was wondering about how I could combine these with the BTR-70, and what camo schemes to use? Could I show Pro-Russian Rebels as 'fully' kitted out by the Russians? Did the Russians send any mothballed BTR-70's into the Ukraine?

I don't recall seeing any BTR-70 in Ukraine, if there were any I didn't save any to my collection. I have a lot of BTR-80 pictures though. I'll do some digging.
