A small build update:

The axles, about 80 parts for both, fragile and a bit over engineered.

Interior parts. I've to add some details and PE, then ready for the first paint stage.

The wheels and the upper body, removed all flash and sanded smooth.

Well, all in all it's a satisfying build, with only minor issues. Let's see how this will go on.

Thank you for watching.

keep meaning to get one of these but the postage from Oz makes it a bit too rich. It's the only modern military vehicle that is Irish designed. Will be watching your build with interest

Finally my Panda JERRV arrived. I have decided to do it as a Canadian JERRV in Afghanistan, prior to the shift to the high roof variant.

Here is the inspiration, the first image is from Richard Saucier's book Canadian EROC vehicles.

The major modificiation will be the removal of the mast mounted camera(saving it for a Canadian Buffalo A2 version) and the addition of the T-Antenna mounts unique to Canadian vehicles.

Here is the box, since I am off sick today I will get started and report back

So I have finished most of step one, which is the rear suspension assembly. Still some issues which were prevalent on the 4x4 version. The U shaped pieces which attach the axles to the suspension are still to short, lots of sloppy fits, and a good deal of scraping and cleaning required.

So on to step two later this week.

Yes of course,

Sean, you have made a great job on your RG31. Are you still working on your Buffalo ?

Here my work:

1,5mm plastic sheets for change the axle position

RWS inside parts.

Original part. The position of the joystick is wrong if I use it like this.

I have cut it and replace in the right area, like on real pics. I've found them on network webite. Thanks to Jason Miller and Haydn Neal.

Command buttons are made myself because original are too big.

I have built a support for the screen.

Rebuilt the rack and scratchbuilt some communication equipment. And working on driver figure with a Legend Production US soldier. I'm trying to change the body armor.

I have australian soldiers from Blackdog, so I can take example on it.

Under the attentive gaze of my cat

That's coming along very nicely Alex. It must be the cats supervision!

My Buffalo is now complete:

Sean thank you.

Waouh ! Your buffalo is amazing. You should post more pics of it.

Roger thank you. Hope to finish it in time, my latest campaign participation (UN campaign with a dutch fennek) was a failure because I have not finished my model.

Thanks Alex, but rather than cluttering up this thread, as the Buffalo wasn't my Campaign entry, for anyone who is interested the full build can be seen in this blog on IPMS Ireland

I think it is by its v-shape base. What do you think?

I just googled the Lince. On Wikipedia it says:

"The LMV uses modular armor packs to adjust its level of protection to its mission requirements.[2] As regards mine protection the vehicle's height from the ground has been increased to 493 mm without augmenting the overall height (less than 2 meters); it uses also suspended seats of aeronautical derivation, v-hull under body, and a collapsible sandwich structure in the floor to deflect and absorb mine blasts."

I am not the campaign leader, but it seems to fit the campaign in my opinion. Apparently it has worked well in Afghanistan.

That would indicate it's good for the campaign.... but then I'm not the leader either
