I have been googling for a while and can't seem to latch onto the right search term to find pictures of European roadways, specifically some with small stream water crossings. I'm building a diorama now that will have a road on the top of a tall embankment, with a stream running underneath the roadway.
I need to find some examples of such things to help me build. Anyone have any suggestions of real life pics (or heck, dioramas) that showcase this?
Thanks!!

More info would be welcome. What era, what part of Europe, how tall the embankment?
As for modern era, Central Europe, small embankment, maybe these will be helpful:

Era might help! German/European WWII
And yes those previous photos are the kind I'm looking for. Especially the culvert style rather than full bridge.
Thanks!

I have found Google Earth to be my friend. I cannot afford to fly to Europe every time I want to visit a battlefield so...I fly with the mouse. Very effective.
There are battlefields that have changed very little in 70 years as far as infrastructure goes, like in the Ardennes remoter regions.

Google earth is useful. I would also recommend finding pictures of Oradour-sur-Glane, particularly if you're looking to do something Western European. The ruins there are preserved largely as they were at the time of the massacre there in 1944.

Here's a French "ponceau" (= culvert in English) :
and here's a stream culvert under a railway embankment in Freimersheim (Rheinhesse), Germany (but I guess it should be OK for a road embankment as well ) :
Another German "Durchlass" (built in 1897 ):
Need one more ?

I've used Google Earth several times too, but it's usually only good for general landscaping. The Google Earth vehicle only photographs from street/road level, and only stays on the main roads. Many times I've wanted to take a side trip down some Bocage lane in Normandy, but couldn't because the car didn't take that route.

Google Earth! Great idea!!
And Frenchy: Those are great! Exactly what I need. If you have more, I'd love to see them!
