Great looking M103A1! Tons of effort and the results are top notch!

We Rivet Counting b*$tards never say never! Now you have to build one bone stock, so that you can do comparison photos

That could be interesting, but I am NOT going to buy that kit and I doubt Dragon will send me another sample

Oh, by the way, I should probably thank DML for the kit I used to build this model, as I received it as a free sample.

An incredibly neat looking build. I especially like the subtle sheen of the paintwork that really makes it look like cold, painted metal.

Amazing to think that's how it should have looked out of the box. Really superb work (and dedication) Pawel . . .
cheers

Incredible surgery and outstanding results, Pawel! You did it, but a whole team at Dragon failed! Too bad even your kit was overpriced!

I will not be selling it, as I want to avoid complains from people who would buy it and not be able to use it with the kit turret and barrel... But if you understand that it will only fit RB Model barrel and requires serious surgery to the turret to fit properly, then I can send you the stl file, so that you can order it yourself from Shapeways.
The 3D printed part also requires some manual reshaping, as I decided it would be easier than to try to reproduce all the curves in CAD.

I forgot to mention some more generic aftermarket products used in the finishing of the model:
- Archer "Surface Details" - for various casting symbols
- Echelon decals - for .50 Cal ammo can decal
- MV Product lenses - for... well, for lenses
- TMD sponson box handles
- Eureka XXL copper cable - for tow cable, of course.

- TMD sponson box handles
Oups, scratch that. I just realized that in the end I've decided to save TMD handles for some kit that deserves them more, and use handles from some kit (I think they came from the AFV Club M41 kit, but I'm not sure).

Yes, I just bought it, so this was the first time I used it.
I should invest in one, my photos stink.
If someone hasn't already asked you, how about a build feature about this and show us the steps in fixing the kit?

Ohh so that's what it's supposed to look like? Superb work Pawel. What paint did you use for the Olive Drab?

Excellent work from an expert, Pawel! The extensive "plastic" surgery is impressive. Thank you for sharing your work.
Happy modeling!
