My FT-17 from Meng - an excelent kit, like Tamiya at his best!
The FT-17 was the first brazilian tank, bought in 1921 to form our first armoured regiment.

Bill,
I most certainly did! Edson, very cool! Was this model based on the vehicle at the Conde de Linhares Military Museum? I built a Brasilian FT-17, too. Here's a pic:

Hey Georg, great build It's nice to see brazilian vehicles by foreign modelers! And yes, my Guararapes was based on the Conde de Linhares museum's vehicle.

And Jphillips, our FT-17s saw action in the 1924 Revolution (The Tenentista Revolt) fighting the rebellious forces.

Another action was in the 1930 Revolution, wich put Getulio Vargas in the high seat.

The last action was the 1932 Constitucionalist Revolution - yes, that was a very confused times in Brazil...

Marco and Edson,
Either of you ever think about starting an AMPS chapter down there in SP or Rio?

Georg

Thanks Marco, valeu mesmo!

Chiefgunner, the decals was made by a local producer - Electric Products. If you want, I can give you the contact with Electric, ok?

Georg, I am a member of APRJ, the Rio de Janeiro IPMS branch. Turn the APRJ a branch of AMPS too seems a very good idea. How to do it?
