no, only a few were ever built,
i dont think they ever completed testing, the war had ended by the time they were ready

The Tortoise never saw any action and only 5 prototypes were ever completed. The project to build such huge armored vehicles started in 1942 but could not produce a combat ready vehicle before the war ended. Prototype P1 can still be seen at Bovington. Vehicles P1, P4 and P5 were tested in Germany in 1946 and 47. After that the project came to a halt.
I really liked the looks of this overweight slow and finally useless piece of hardware.
Maybe I will even try the even bigger US T28 now....

Hi. I totally agree with greatbrit. There's nothing that sets a model off, at least to me, as when the builder does a really great job on the weathering techniques. Very, very nice indeed.

I got to see this monster last year and bovington has one even bigger than a tiger tank it was built as a prototype between 38 or 42 not sure when was almonst as high as a double decker so the large tank concept for the british has always been there I think it finshed with the conqueror below,
