I am en route to my favorite model store and want to buy Master Modeler paints for the ambush pattern on my Sturmtiger. Can I get some recommendations for the three basic colors used --red, green and base yellow. I tried the blasted the acyrlic Italian Camouflage Red and thinned it too much so she ran. Hoping to salvage the paint job.
thanks

Just look in the German section of the display rack. Chose rotbrun, dunkelgrun and dunkelgelb (red-brown, dark green and dark yelow) I don't know the RLM or MM numbers, but the color names will get you by. As an alternative, there might be a panzer green if the dark green is out. US Military brown could substitute for rotbrun in a p[inch anbf Floquil Mud can pass for dunkelgelb .

Hey Cav,
IF you are getting Testors Model Master, you want to pick up Dunkelgelb (dark yellow),
Rotbrun ( red brown ), And Dunkelgrun, (dark green). Just b sure you pick up the flat finish and not the semi gloss, which is also useful, but not interchangeable.

In addition to Tamiya Dark Yellow, I used Tamiya Hull Red, and Deep Green. These are not special RAL nos., but they work pretty damn good. Especially air-brushed.

For this pattern I use Humbrol German Red Brown (Nš 160), Model Master Panzer Dunkelgelb 1943 Flat (Nš 2095) & Panzer Olivgrun 1943 Flat (Nš 2097).
