When you built your kit did you paint the hubs and "tires" separately then assemble or did you build them up then paint. I am just at the beginning stages and would like someone else thoughts on this.

Perhaps you are beyond this stage, but this may be helpful to others.

I am building this kit, and I found painting the tires and wheels separately worked well, but keep paint off the gluing surfaces of the wheels and the insides of the the tires - clearances are tight as moulded. Press on the tries and sparingly flow a little Tamiya extra thin cement in from the backs, to settle the tires on the wheels - mine came out great. Also, before you fit the tires, check the fit of the wheels. NB - test fit the wheels before you add the tires. I found the road wheel halves for the center 3 wheels had inconsistent fits, but swapping them around from the order presented on the sprue helped, as did cleaning up the backs. Dry fit all the wheels without tires and line them up, any that are too wide will be readily apparent.

Also, the 13 tooth sprockets must be used if you want To use the kit OMSh track (or OMSh aftermarket). The kit instructions want you to use the 14 tooth sprokets, but they are too wide, being made for the SMSh (T72 style) wide track that was a retrofit to the T-62.
