Todd, great review. While not much of an IDF fan, but am a Centurion fan, this kit does look inviting.

Hi Kev,
Everything is finally getting back to normal after the show. It was great to finally be able to meet you. I'm sure we will hook up at more shows in future.
Thanks....the kit is pretty nice. I was trolling looking at aftermarket stuff and to be honest, other than the tracks building this OOB is quite possible. I did buy some AFV movable links this morning so at some point this will hit the bench for some fun...lol

That's a pretty lengthy review.
There are a couple of additional things worth pointing out, however.
Although some (many, who knows?) may disagree, it isn't absolutely critical to do away with the top seam on the turret. The actual seam from the casting exists in exactly the same spot. Sometimes prominent, sometimes not, but it's there.
Secondly, and more importantly, the ERA blocks are not correct for this kit. Legend's conversion set will get you much closer to proper size and shape of the glacis blocks.

Todd, was great to meet you and put a face to the name. Had a great weekend there, and am back at the bench enjoying life. And I am quire sure we will run into each other again. I will give you some feedback after the Great White North AMPS show when I get back.

Hi Robert, thanks for taking the time to read through the review. Personally I completely agree with your point on the casting marks regarding the turret. There are references back and forth and show both prominent and not so predominant lines. In the effort up speeding up the building process, softening the joint a bit and moving on might be best...mainly because there is only a couple mm showing through all the add on parts. As for the ERA blacks, you make a point as well...Legend has made a fantastic conversion for the blocks. I did notice a couple different styles in the blocks not to mention the haphazard approach to attaching them that opens the door for the kit supplied blocks to be sufficient in still being able to make a fine model OOB. Always the toughest decision a builder has when approaching a kit...to Aftermarket or Not to Aftermarket...that is the question!! Thank you for your thoughts on the kit!
Kev, Looking forward to hearing about what you think of the GWN AMPS show! Only about 8 hours drive for me...much better than the 15 it took me to get to Indiana...LOL!!!
