I started painting the interior of my panzer II and using migs ammo flat white the paint was separating, now I had given the interior a good prime with migs ammo grey primer and that went on fine.
I had to use the only white I had and that was Vallejo game color off white to finish the job.

Any ideas on what had happened?
I did shake the bottle and had my compressor set to about 20 psi.

Thanks
Karl

usually you need to clean the surface (wash with soap water) before painting and also prime it for those type of acrylics.

Make sure the paint is well shaken. What do you mean exactly by separating? Sometimes the paint gets "craters" if you apply too much paint at a time. Make sure you are applying light, thin coats.

Hello, I hope you are well Karl. The videos and recommendations posted are correct. It is important with all paints including AMMO acrylics that you paint in thin layers to build up your colors. Please keep us posted with your results. If you need any help, please let me know.

Thanks for all your replies.
It must of been the paint as I said when I switched over to the game color it went on perfect.

Hope it does not happen to all the other paints as I sold all my model air acrylics and bought the ammo paint and I have a Sherman/Jagdtiger and panzer II to paint yet
Funny as the other night I sprayed a pak 38 with ammo dark yellow which was fine.

Cheers
Karl

Hi~~!

I entirely agree with you about the color.
It is difficult to apply the MIG white and cremeweiss color to our model without separating.
In my case, I usually set the pressure of compressor to 10 ~ 15 psi and the thining ratio to 1 : 1 ~ 1.5(paint : thinner). Then I airbrush the colors several times.

Try lifecolor paints , you might have less problems . They are good for hand brushing also .

The only acrylic paint with which I've never ever had any problem whatsoever is Tamiya. I've had issues with MIG, AK, Vallejo and MM acrylics.

I have a couple of bottles of ammo olive drab and I shall give my sherman a base coat and see how it goes.

Not interested after reading a FSM review of Lifecolor.

Used lifecolor years ago and it left a dust look to my model.
