Dear all, I am rather new to this hobby, and would like to ask how many types/size of paint brushes are normally needed for AFV and figure painting with a good finish? And which particular brand do you folks recommend? Thank you!

Hello
It depends on how much money you want to invest, but Winsor and Newton series 7 brushes are allways a excellent choice and the ones i use, they have all sorts of sizes but if i could only choose one size i would recommend a size 1, you can do pretty much anything with that, from basecoating to painting eyes.
I prefer the long hair version.
you could get some cheaper ones for basecoating and weathering etc and use the winsor for the detail work.
A larger size 3 or above for basecoating and some flat brushes are allways handy aswell

I agree with Richard, for brushes Winsor & Newton Series 7 are excellent. I have from 3 to 00000.
