Trumpeter's BTR-70 and Takom's Civilian Car. Scratchbuilt engine and engine bay and heavily modified figures for the family. Will eventually go into a diorama. Build pics here:

Excellent work on both vehicles... The BTR engine looks great, and I especially like the BMW.. shows how nice that kit can be made to look

Thats a really fantastic effort on both the car and the BTR- the dirty, gritty and well used look on both is done brilliantly. The stowage on and in the car is particularly nice- it brings it to life really well.

The car should have some of the original gloss paint to it... Even old automotive finishes that are left to the elements still have some shine to it. Having said this, the models are truly great. I thought the Takom kit was a Mercedes??? The BTR's weathering is top notch...

The Mercedes is by Diopark... Takom did this BMW and an SUV, I believe it's a Pajero

The cables are for a smoke generator and fan in the engine bay. When switched on smoke billows from under the bonnet. Will post pics of the completed dio when it's done.
