Hi folks, may I ask if I could airbrush Vallejo Model Color/ Panzer Aces Color with appropriate thinner diluted to get a good finish? As I really can't afford to buy both Model Colors and Model Air at once...
Thank you!

Thank you for reply, may I also ask in this way what is the proper ratio for paint and thinner?

For me it's not an exact science,You need to experiment, try 2-1 and go from there.

Yes, but they are thicker and need more thinner added than Tamiya etc.

i agree on more thinner. I use 50:50 on tamiya. Since model color is a lot thicker, it might need as much as 2:1 thinner to paint.

I also just use model color instead of model air since you will be doing quite a lot of hand brushing for details and still be flexible enough to thin it for airbrush use. But so far, I still go back to tamiya paints for base coats and anything needed to be airbrushed.

I've learned to thin-down all Vallejo Acrylics (primers included). Vallejo Airbrush Thinner (71.161) works great.
As an added measure, I put in a drop or so of 'Liquitex Airbrush Medium.'
