Hi Gang,
has any of our French modellers any idea if and when Blast Models will re-release their GTK Boxer update set? Since the GTK Boxer is not in focus of the AM Industry, any set for our APC is highly welcome.
Merci

Nothing on their site. I guess the price was a bit deterring considering it was nearly twice the cost of the Revell kit itself.
You could send a message to them to ask whether or not they intend to resume production.

Concerning AM parts for the Boxer, you have resin wheels and crew members by Djiti Productions.

BTW what is wrong with the Revell kit? I have it in the stash.

Nothing, it is just an early version. The Blast set brought it up to date, especially if you want to do an Afghanistan version. So depends on what you want to model.

Hi Olivier,
as a matter of fact, there is nothing wrong, only the FLW 200 is a little bit simplified. I wished that Eduard would release the PE set they made for RoG in their own range. But maybe the annonced FLW200 from Live Resin will cure the problem. As always, a RoG kit offers some potential for the AM industry. But I think that some companies never realized the sales potential of a RoG kit.

Hans-Hermann, I know what you mean. Having built the Dingo 2, I think there was room for improvement. Similarly, I'm building a P4 based on the Wolf and was really disappointed that no replacement wheel set was available. The vinyl tires are just junk.

I probably build and paint mine in the desert scheme as it is still sported by Boxers in the DFB.

Andy, thanks for the answer too.

What about these: http://www.phpshopxml.com/azimut.shop/CID/c66c21e4b909a82fa20e5adadd67b0c3/function/itemPageDisplay/shopItemCode/AZI35378 ? I have two sets and they look good.

Thank you Pawel. I didn't realize Azimut sold them as a separate set.
Will have to do some surgery as the P4 wheels do not have the Mercedes logo on the hub.

I am pretty sure it was available for a short time after their new site came back up. I remember looking at it and trying to decide if I wanted to do another Boxer or not.

I just contacted Blast and the answer was the next batch should not be available before the end of 2016.
The good news is that it's still in production.

Olivier,

Would you mind asking whether there's even stock of the hatches? I don't require the full set. My French isn't up to the task.

Thanks,

Greg

Dolp Modellbau does a good set of German Wolf wheels, the number is BWZ 25. They put the casting blocks on the rear side of the wheel. Also MR Modellbau lately released a set of Wolf wheels, but these have some fit problems.

Thanks for the hints about Dolp and MR Models wheels. I'll see what's the best choice. But it looks like the Dolp set is no longer in production, it is no more on their website.
Anyway to fit the P4 I have to modify the hubs which are different.

Concerning the Blast Boxer set, Blast told me they did a major re-release from October to February this year and do not intend to another one too close. Maybe if you guys send them requests about this set, they could change their plan.
They do not sell separate parts I fear. I asked for the FLW2000 with no luck.
