Takom have today released news of a limited edition of the Mk A Whippet in the works aimed at the Japanese market. In these days of international internet orders I am sure some of these will end up being built outside of Japan

Nice would love to see this on the US market. Japan bought 6 whippets,13 renaults and 1 mark IV. From the box art looks like we will see a japanese Mark IV.

Oh oh. I'll pay through the nose to get one of these. Still a bit shell shocked from my recent Emhar Whippet build.

It is aimed at the Japanese market only, but I believe someone like HLJ would have it for order.

Just saw that the kit is up for pre-order on the HLJ site (USD 50.31 or S$68). Anyway, I have bitten the proverbial bullet and put my pre-order in ( British, German, Russian and Japanese marking options are too tempting to pass-up

This is just a special version of the Whippet and they will release a regular one as well, right?

According to HLJ this will be released first and then Takom will put the kit out for the rest of the world with the Japan specific parts removed.

Thanks for the suggestion, Darren. Pre-ordered mine from HLJ yesterday and I'm looking forward to it. Now I've gotta get an A7V, a St. Chamond, a Schneider...
