Maybe not.. As we know the so called financial problem, they use this way to produce the kit: collect the pre-order money, then use this money to produce the molds of kits. Before the money is enough, the kits will be still in 3D format.... So. let us wait and see who is faster and better.

So the stores that we pre-order Meng's kits from don't know about these financial problems and they just keep sending Meng this money so they can make the molds? This is a legit question.. I'm really trying to understand how these things work

From where to where? I checked four Asian shops and all listed it as a future release. Have you seen a Meng kit built up somewhere?

Personally, I like both Trumpeter And Meng
and I have been disappointed with release delays from Both Companies!
seems to be the norm for artistic endeavors....

Does anyone know, or can speculate with some rationale, as to what the trumpeter tracks are likely to be on this: individuals, link and length, links with multiple parts, links with multiple parts and pins?

I suppose the stores are collecting the pre-order money and not the manufactureres. I doubt Meng could make the molds in 4 days (shipping on the 7th of June).

Hobbyeasy has not taken my money for a pre-order of the Meng kit. It was due on 6/7 and was just delayed to 6/11 today.

I honestly think that comment was just some thinly veiled Meng bashing.

I would check into that because I read somewhere that they had already shipped this kit.

I don't recall where I read it but the author seemed pretty certain they had.

I honestly don't know where some of these rumors start. (Well, I sort of do) Mig's "pronouncement" a while back about starting a company with your daddy's money was neither new, nor was is relevant. It's been known for years where the money came from. It's not some sort of industry secret. Just titillating "/news" more fit for tabloids. And it also doesn't mean it's a recipe for disaster. As I posted back in that thread, Meng is not about to go under. But I digress... Cutting molds in fours days? I started helping Meng with this project over two years ago. They're not just now deciding to start on theirs. The announcement came out months ago when I was still in Korea.
I'm glad if there is a competing model it's from a company that'll probably get it right. I'm reasonably sure Meng will.

Meng was started by the Grey Aliens to fund their anal-probing research. You heard it here first.
Kurt, I seem to remember someone saying something like that. I don't think there was any proof and none of the stores I obsessively check have it yet. I think that person was confused.
