I found these odd-ball vehicles that would make interesting subject matter of a build.

BMP Mod?!?!

From what I read, this was a mine clearing vehicle based on the T-55 with a Mig-15 housed in the turret.

Makes for interesting builds...........

See ya in the funnies..........

The first one you posted is Object 19, one of the many design studies before the BMP-1 as we know it was adopted.

I think I saw number 2 and I was pretty sure it was a runway de-iceing device... Interesting nonetheless!

AFAIK, the second one is called Progrev-T (= "Warm-T") and it's based on a T-54 chassis. It was designed for mine-sweeping operations in Afghanistan.

Similar vehicles were/are designed for firefighting like these :

What about these Monster trucks based on the ZiL-157 ? :

Hello Erik,
Thanks for the ID on that. The BMP profile was there, but the tracks is what got me confused. I figured it was something new that slipped under the radar.

Hello Cristian,
That would do the trick for ice melting.

Hello Herni-Pierre,
Thanks for the other photos, the ZiL-157 is pretty odd with the monster tires on it. Would make for a very labor intense build in 1/35th to take the front axle and move it forward to make the monster tires fit and clear the rear axle.
Thanks again.

See ya in the funnies......................
