Hello
I have always used Tamiya acrylic paints via an airbrush. When the paint is dry, I apply decals and then airbrush dullcoat to seal everything.
I have used Tamiya's lacquer spray can paint, the TS
series. Can I apply decals directly to this paint surface like I do with the Tamiya acrylics?

Should be fine since it is lacquer based.
I am more hesitant to apply decals on bare tamiya acrylic unless it has cured for a good amount of time and not a flat finish. So I usually clear coat before decals then clear coat again

I use those Tamiya spray paints all the time. There are glossy ones and matte ones. the gloss ones are perfect for decaling on, but the matte finish ones should have a clear gloss applied before decals, otherwise the decal film will show silvery.
The Tamiya acrylics do take a long time to cure completely, but the spray lacquer dries rock hard in a matter of hours.
