Hello,
After my Dragon Conqueror tank received me, I want to inform you in a quick way about my first impression. I compared the Dragon kit with Accurate Armour`s and I saw:
Dragon: The roof of the hull goes from the front panel to the turret ring in a small sloping angle
Accurate Armour: kit goes flat from the front panel to the turret ring.
Dragon: The engine deck consists of very prominent air intakes (lamellae). Furthermore it has two caps
Accurate Armour: very fine lamellae and thin with four caps
Finally the turret-shape is different
Best wishes.

Bollocks.
This doesn't mean the Dragon kit is wrong, but now requires a bit more work to establish which of the two kits is closer to "real life".
Not having one handy means waiting on someone to take up the cudgel, wade into that thankless job and let us all know.
Hand's up! Who's got a Conq in their back yard they're willing to go take a quick shufti at?

The flat vs sloping front part of the hull roof could be caused by different versions.
Check these two images
Sloping roof with a straight edge to the glacis:

Flat roof with a cutout for the drivers periscope:

Different number of pericsopes as well ....
No comment on the turret shape or engine deck ...

Hello,
First I have to agree, that it cannot be said which model-kit is accurate or not.
Regarding to the hull roof in the front area of Dragon`s kit it can be said, that there is a mistake. Dragon used the concept of the Conqueror MK I, not of the MK II.
Rob Griffon wrote to this aspect: `The reason for this [reduction of driver`s periscopes from three (Mk I) to one (Mk II)] was that it had been found that the three-periscope hull roof design had in fact created a weak joint in the armour. By only providing one periscope this allowed the designers to make the hull roof horizontal on the MK II instead of the more sloped roof on the Mk I(Rob Griffin, Conqueror, p. 73).
In summary, Dragon`s kit is wrong in this point.
Cheers
