Dio showing a Ukrainian Rebel vehicle checkpoint with an overloaded civilian car passing through. I've mixed my hobby of modelling and my trade of electronics and added LED lighting to the BTR-70 interior and a railroad smoke generator under the car bonnet to simulate the failing engine. I've added a couple of links to the video below. The corn and yellow flowers are from JTT Scenics, and the flowers are from Busch. The dog is modelled on my own dog and he even contributed by donating tail hair for the guitar strings!
I took the pictures outside of my normal photo booth (due to the size) so the lighting in the pictures is a bit off...

It's a Seuthe smoke generator under the car bonnet.

Ian that is a real tour de force of a diorama. I think you've captured the look of a checkpoint from this conflict to perfection. Both the little details like the guitar strings, the pot and stove, the rope used to keep the car boot closed and the road signage- plus the bigger details like the amazing paint-job on the BTR and the dilapidated look of the over-stuffed BMW- they all add up to a cracker of a piece. The lights and smoking car are the real cherry on top too- they really finish off things brilliantly.
How did you mount the railway smoker by the way? (And how big is it?)

Thanks. The smoke generator is a Seuthe 11 item. It's quite small but, with 15v produces a lot of smoke. It's mounted in the base with the stack up through a hole in the bottom of the car. It's filled from above with a syringe.
