After an exhaustive search (I think) on the WWW I turn to my armorama friends.
I am planning to build a dio with a Dutch Leopard 1V tank. I am familiar with the offerings on the Leo 2A4/5/6 but have no Leo 1s.
Does anybody have any idea whether the Revell Leo 1A1A1 bis A4 kit contains decals/parts for the Dutch version?
Any other suggestions as to were to get these in case they don't? What are your opinions on the Revell Kit, is it a rebox from Italeri's Leo1A4 or A2?
Thanks,
Armor/AFV

Yes, the kit is a rebox with re-worked parts. It is still one of Italeri's best kits (Leo 1A4).Any other suggestions as to were to get these in case they don't? What are your opinions on the Revell Kit, is it a rebox from Italeri's Leo1A4 or A2?

My guess is it won't be easy to make a Leo 1V. Hard nutt to crack I think.

Sabot, Eagle,
Thanks already for the fast reply. I think I might still get the Revell Kit.
So that kit does not have dutch decals?
Any suggestions on decal places that might have dutch decals or do I have to make them myself? (That's probably going to be a pain )....
It might not be too hard, Eagle. Major differences are the antenna mounts, machine guns and the boxes on the sides, as opposed to having all the tools hanging on the side. If you like I can scan a list of differences for you if you like. Or maybe it even might be a nice article for the site.
I fear the decals are going to be the hardest. I am lazy, and rather avoid making them myself

It's kit # 03017. Like I said, I have no idea where to get NL decals.

Iwan,
During my quest I stumbeled into this site.
http://home.t-online.de/home/a.m.ackens/lo1a4.htm
May be it's of any use to you ?
I think the answer to your Decals question could be given to you by a Dutchman named Roel van Essen. He did a Leo1V. See link:

Don't know the guy but I do know he's a TwenoT and a IPMS-NL member. I think this is his e-mailadress, but I'm not totaly sure:

Good hunting !

Eagle,
This looks good. Thanks a lot. Do you happen to be an IPMS member that has this Modelbouw in Plastic 2000/2 issue they talk about?
BTW, if you're interested, I happen to have a IPMS issue about the 32nd TFS Eagle, can't help but notice you used to have the 32nd emblem on your posts. Why did you take it of?
Iwan

Never mind the article, I just got it from the guy that made the model. Gave him a shameless plug for this site too.
Thanks!
