Looks much better.

I think it'll be perfect once blended with washes, weathering, etc...

Cheers,

Christophe

Thank you Chritsophe. some minor corrections are needed and after the decals I will use a couple of filters and a pinwash, more blending will be done dy applying the dot fading technique.

Hi Nikos.
Like your m48a5!,I have the MOLF from slingshot which looks great.Got hold of a Dragon mod. b m48 and have the Academy m48a5 also.Like the unique look of these tanks.
Keep up the good work from Richard

Thank you Richard.

I am also building a MOLF based on the Academy kit, and will also do another one using the Dragon Mod B kit.

I am also doing a simple A5 from the Dragon A5 kit based on this photo:

Very nice. I like the paint scheme. Any plans to do a M48A2G2?

Thanks a lot. Actually the M48A2GA2 was the first model I posted on this forum:

I have plans for many more M48s and M60s, including the Magach series.

Ready for weathering. I think it is the best paintjob I have done thus far.

Very nice! I'm on a Patton kick at the moment, next one will be Taiwanese CM-12 (Hobby Fan resin hull + AFV Club CM-11 which is mostly Academy parts+ Legend mantlet), then M48A5(T) (Dragon+Slingshot Models+DEF) then M48A5 MOLF.

Cheers,

Christophe

I will be waiting to see that, since it is another of my future projects.

The model has been given a dark brown oil wash. On the engine grilles I also applied black oil wash. Then I did fading - blending with dry oils. Naples yellow on the black and green areas and ivory white on the yellow areas.

The wash is a tad heavy on the wheels on purpose, so as to show after dusting.

It's looking great, thanks for the build log, looks like the Slingshot conversion is a winner!

Thank you Alan.

The conversion parts, the sprockets and the fender brackets from Slingshot that I used are top quality products. The gun barel especially is awesome.

Take in mind that the set includes the pe chains for the smoke grenade launchers.
