So here is the progress of my M48. Decals are for the 2-34 cav. The first image is my main reference. Any feedback/criticism greatly appreciated!

Looks good, just a thought, did you notice the missing and shortened front fenders on the picture you are working from? Also looks like no headlights, just guards.

Cheers for the feedback. Wayne Ur regards to the headlights and guards I thought I'd keep them on mine, I should.have said I was loosely using the image as a reference, mainly the fact there's no mantlet cover and the markings, also the casual pose of the crewmen.

Nick, nice job, but I'm sure that 2/34 is a Armor unit, not Cav.

Nice work. Are those the kit decals or AM? My dad was in the 2/34th from 68 to 69. Would love to make one with those markings.
Thanks.
Thanks.

looks REALly nice. 2 small things, tho if the pic is still a main reference. the wire MG guard should be removed, and it LOOKS like the pic doesn't have the vision riser. is so, the cmdrs cupola/turret WILL fit the slotted hole

Hi Jeff, they are the kit decals which are the excellent cartograpgh quality we've come used to from dragon. Vehicle numbers and letters, even the dots between u and s are individuals

So after some thinking (yes it does happen from time to time) I'm thinking about making a small jungle base for this tank/figure. Maybe even incorporate one or 2 more figures.

So after stewing on this idea I am definitely going to add the tank to a small scene. I am thinking of using Callsign Models "Vietnam war correspondent" cs35005. Initial thoughts are the tanker will be getting his photo taken in the jungle in a lull in fighting.
