Hi. Here are the pictures of my first diorama after a 15 years break. I had the idea after watching my old model kits, builed and unbuiled. The tree is handmade, some plants are found in a pet shop. What's good enough for fishes, is good enough for modeling kits
The Huey is a old kit from Revell, the boat is from Dragon and the figures are from different companies. Tamiya, Dragon ...
Hope you like the diorama. The pics are not the best, sorry for that.

Back with a bang for sure! This is really cool! The camo on the figures looks convincing and the jungle/swamp is impressive. I've used plastic plants from aquarium or craft stores as well. Some jungle plants have thicker leaves along with a waxy appearance so these work out great. Really nice dio!!

Great work! Welcome back to the hobby!
I love the realistic jungle and the way the huey fits right in. Very realistic!
Only small detail are the large airbubbles and the totally still water surface. if the guys move around there would be some small ripples/waves. Anyway, that is a very small thing.
The layout is great and tells the story instantly.
Thanks for sharing

You're so right. It's a thing I'm worried about. After the finish, the water was perfekt. A little bit muddy and without bubbles. But the resin and the colour I used didn't work together. The coloured went down to the ground. At this moment there still no bubbles. I didn't know, during which time the bubbles come out. I saw the bubbles this week the first time. I hope the water on my 2nd diorama stay at this condition.
Sorry for my english. I hope it's ok.

Welcome back to the hobby. Pretty impressive way to jump back into building dioramas by making one with water. You made good use of the old kits you had laying around.
Keep building and developing your skills. You are off to a very promising start.
Cheers,
James
