Every fathers nightmare!

Behave yourself daughter!

Here is why we are worried

Nice figs from MB but the girls' face needed about 2 hours of carving to get rid of an old lady look.
She will go in this dio when I get back to it.

I'd be holding more than a rake sending my daughter out. Nothing like a rick-rack to put a damper on passion. I like the scene and the figures turned out great!

Thanks everyone for the kind words as always. I really like the contrast between the old old stone walls and the new clothing. It will really pop when the scene comes together with veggies, more people, etc. I least I hope so!!
I can't always model blown up stuff,etc.

Hi Jerry , great work mate. The setting reminds me of a story my ma told me years back . Her and a couple of sisters were going out to their first dance and were stood on the doorstep as my granny was giving them the talk about behaving themselves etc etc . She turns to my grandfather and says " Paddy, are you not gonna say anything to your girls on their first night out?" . He looks up from his paper and simply says, " Girls .....keep both feet in the one sock !" You have to love that line .

Hi Jerry,
What a neat piece, she looks real good.
Couple of comments if I may?
What set is she from?
Any in progress shots particularly of the head and face?I'm interested in how you got a more feminine look.
Also did you need to undercut the skirt around the legs or is the skirt a multi piece afair?

Finally your TOW rework has inspired me to try a similar job on the old Dragon US Sniper team with various new bits and bobs from the spare part box 😷

I'll hope to post photos once I figure out how to from from tablet.

Regards

m Thanks Chris for the very generous remarks!
The fig is from a MB set called Women of WWII if I remember correctly? You get three adults and a shirly temple lookin kid. Nice set. Sadly I didn't think of a before pic so I have no comparison shot of the face. I had to use my new optivisor and a couple of new number 11 blades to carefully carve away excess flesh using the box top as a guide. The skirt was taken care of by the parts breakdown so I just thinned the edge a bit. I also took some contours off the leg bits to give some better shape as well as tweeked the shoes by accenting the edges where the feet meet the shoe. If you go to the figure forum there are more in progress pics there. HTH and thanks again. YES!! Please post you work on the sniper deal.

Bill and Ed,
Thanks for looking in and typing some nice comments. I think I will get back on this big city dio this winter when it's nice and snug in my basement. Still too nice outside to work on anything big and involved.

Reminds me of my grandmother meeting a GI passing thru Belgium with the THIRD army in 1944. He took her down the aisle in 1945.
'Course her father worked in the coal mines. . .
