It's kind of strange that they did the tracks and road wheels like that.. but I think overall the model looks good when built

Looking at the number of cupolas and the Army AND Marine Smoke launchers, I think you can do an A1/A2/SEP with and with out the TUSK kit. Tracks are strange but given this is Tiny, it kinda makes sense. That way all the detail for the tracks can be rigid and not fiddly little pieces. Gonna have to score me a bunch of these!

Some of the details on this kit tell me that it is "heavily inspired" by the Tamiya 1/35 kit.

I was wondering about it being close to the Tamiya kit I have
A question regarding that.. is it easier for a company to get a fresh set of research info to do a kit.. or to simply buy one that exists off the market and do what I hear them call "reverse engineering"?

Hisham, I think they just get two Tamiya kits and put them in a room together for a few days... and then you get this little one.
Seriously though, it must of course be much easier and quicker simply to measure up another maker's kit and then produce your own CAD drawings from it, rather than having to go out and crawl over the real thing yourself. Especially when scaling down, I guess any errors in your measurements become less. And I imagine that since it follows the real thing just as much as the original kit does, so long as you haven't used any mechanical means to copy it, then it would be hard to bring about any copyright infringement, wouldn't it?
Of course, I have no doubt that this is not what happened in this case.

I was just wondering about that because it happens often these days that when a new kit is announced I hear people start saying.. "This is an exact copy of the so and so kit".. sometimes without even having enough pics of the parts breakdown to be able to tell Maybe they had some kind of collaboration with Tamiya like they did with Model-Miniature on the AMX and VBL kits
In any case, I think it's a nice looking kit overall

The easiest way it spot it is if the new kit replicates a design feature or error of an existing kit that isn't a feature of the original subject.
For example, Academy messed up the turret shape on their Merkava 3 pretty badly, and both the Revell and Trumpeter braille Merkava 3s seem to have the same turret shape as the Academy kit.
I don't see any big errors on this one, but the bulge in the lower hull is very Tamiya. Whatever - it looks like a nice little kit, and a good braille Abrams is overdue.

Here is mine ..... Started long time ago (yikes its about 3 years ago) and an ongoing project as most of you have seen but never completed.
Here is the link of my scratch built conversion.

The kit is looking very promising and a good base for out of the box build. My opinion is that the parts are so thick for 1/72 scale.

They're "supposed" to be in stock at HobbyEasy around July 13... Hopefully there won't be any major delays in this date

this is awesome, how in the name of the good lord did I miss this! I will be buying one of these for sure!
I also wish someone would make one of these in a 1/48th scale version, that would be perfect!
