Is the EPS springer used in Afghanistan? and if so what variants because MMK does one with a M2 browning on it and it looks really cool, but is it really used like that?

This was fielded by the UK Army, for a limited trial, for a limited period, not well received, & limited usefulness to the UK Army at that time, withdrawn from service.
They were also being disposed of last year via Govt, surplus disposal sites.

the springer was in service for 18 mths from purchase, it battlefield mission was 400m which to go to the helicopter landing sight self load a single 1 ton pallet and take it back to the forward operating base.
in reality they were crap it took over an hour to self load a pallet with a winch that was under powered and kept cutting out, the thing was noisy being a 1.4 naturally aspirated diesel running off a cvt belt drive instead of a proper gearbox, and they where only 2 wheel drive.
the army paid £120,000 per springer but the actual tomcar which it was based on only cost £20,000.
the vehicles were reduced to being camp taxis and mail delivery in the end before they got sold off to mod sales. com.
however there is a new variant which is called gaurdiam which is a fully remote controlled version of the springer which is fitted with loads of cameras to go in as a recce vehicle.
hope that helps a little guys
thanks craig

oh the heavy weapon variant of springer with the .50 in the load bed was never bought it was purely a test vehicle as the soft suspension couldn't take the recoil of the .50 and sustain accurate fire.

Guys, echoing Craig's comments, it had a very short service life. It was a poor vehicle and was withdrawn following safety concerns despite being purchased on an UOR The process smacked of a contract being made for a friend of a friend. It was just one of those vehicles that should have never seen the light of day.

and this is in current use by the IDF; and would make a great kit.
Ahh, don't you just love the politics of procurement... paying almost 10x the value of something, just because it's for the govt.

Wow, the "Guardian" looks nice. I could see some Sci-Fi potential there...the EPS "Springer" not so much.
