Getting the actual color right?
Long story short, I have done a decent job at the black and white painting (although still much practice and work to get to the acceptable level).
But when I go to spray on the transparent color coat, I feel like to get enough color laid down to actually look like a vehicle that is panzer grey/yellow/olive drab/whatever, you cover up nearly all of your black and white coloring.
Chipping?
I've seen a lot of people talking about how you can't use the hairspray method for this technique, but I'm not sure why. Couldn't you do the following steps to utilize the hairspray method:
1. Prime in a hard primer
2. Spray the actual primer color (e.g. German hull red)
3. Clear coat to protect
4. Lay down hairspray layer
5. Black and white colors + base color
6. Scrub with water to activate hairspray
??
What am I missing there?
Tutorial videos?
Has anyone found video(s) of the black and white method in action? It's one thing to read about it, another to see it play out live!
Thanks!
