Hi,I just finished building my Hasagawa 1/72nd German 88mm flak 36 and had a couple of questions on how to weather it.
I was thinking of three ways to weather it;
1.To weather it during the afrika korp paint scheme.Now if I do this I would like to know exactly how to do the chipping effect on this vehicle in this scale.
2.To weather it during the Russian front,in a winter camouflage.
3.To weather it during the spring/summer camouflage,maybe a 3 tone?
So with this in mind,can you guys help me in figuring out the best way to weather my 88mm in the 3 types of scenarios? I know that 1/72nd is a small scale but if done right looks as good as their 1/35th counterparts.
Thank you

Osprey published Small Scale Armor Modelling by Alex Clark a few years ago. It's still easy to find on eBay. The book covers all of your questions using Humbrols in the examples. Some of his builds can be seen on the following link...
