Hi,

Is there any way of wetting pigments without the colour changing (from their original dry colour) when they dry?

So far I've tried Mig Productions Pigment Fixer (which is not working out anyway) and cheap white spirit.

The white spirit seems OK, but the pigment becomes a lighter colour than it was originally after it dries.

Would a cooler white spirit solve this or should I get a dedicated product?

I usually wet them down with white spirits then dry them of with the airbrush - seems to work for me.

James, try Tamiya thinner, the XA2 normal type (not the lacquer thinner) might work better for you. Also not sure which sequence you do, but try applying the thinner first, then the pigment on top; I find it wets and disturbs the pigment less that way.
