Is there really a Tamiya Light Sand in the bottle? I only found them in cans which is not that good for small parts.
What's the difference between using a regular primer and metal primer?
Between Tamiya Gloss coat and Gunze's Topcoat Supergloss, which is far more shiny?

No, I don't think Tamiya makes a Desert Sand color for modern vehicles, at least, not one in a bottle! (you'd think they would though, judging by the political climate and the "new-old" kits they're re-releasing....)
Try Academy's Desert Sand color - its enamel though...
(For all you guys who don't live in the Philippines - Academy DOES make paint, but I've only seen it selling here. Nice range of colors, but I'm not sure how they compare with the competition)
Hope this helps!

I found out that Academy paints are better of for washes. They suck in painting IMO. Much diluted.

metal primer has an 'etching' agent in it that bites into the steel to enable other paints to 'hold' onto a steel surface.
no Tamiya does not do a 'light sand' in the bottle.
can't help with the third as I have never used Gunze paints.

Oh? I had no problem spraying Academy on my trusty 'ol a/b.

Does Tamiya's Light Sand Spray Can blend well with Academy Desert Sand?
