Looking for a badger air brush and wondered if anyone has used one. Any comment on that, good or bad, be helpful. I am looking to do some detailed work well and it seems that it can work well.

I've used Badger airbrushes for years. They perform very well for most users with just normal care. I currently have a Renegade Krome that does very well for details and some medium area spraying and a Renegade Velocity with a .30 tip for larger areas. For super fine detail I have a Sotar 20/20.

For general spraying the Anthem series is good and dead simple to maintain, but it isn't a detail brush.

I have and use Harder & Steenbeck Infinity, Iwata HP and HP plus, Iwata Eclipse, Tamiya, Grex and Thayer & Chandler brushes. I love them all and use them interchangably. The Badgers will do anything the more expensive brushes will do, but any brush you use requires practice.

I have a Badger Krome and it works like a charm. It is capable of doing detail work, and isn't too bad for covering larger areas. Cleaning isn't too difficult, which is key.

The needle is pretty delicate and can be bent easily, same goes for the tip. I have had to replace a needle and tip already, bit they aren't too expensive.

The other reviews on the Amazon link below might further help you.

If this is your first airbrush than this is a good airbrush to get a start with. I started with a badger 150 to see if one I was any good at it and to if I liked doing it. You should also check out the badger airbrush you can get 37% off the Dual Action, Bottom Feed, Internal Mix-This is the ideal airbrush for almost any fine finish application.

I own a badger krome, Patriot 105 , Anthem 155 , 200 NH , 350 , and my ex wife's 100 GS. all are good tools the Krome is one of the best detail brushes IMHO and The Patriot 105 is great for most all around projects. I also have a passche talon , and a neo they are okay but I like my Patriot and Krome best. The Krome and Talon are from Omni models via ebay and 105, 155, 200 NH ,100 GS, Neo and 350 are from Michaels with 50% off coupons. cheapest price on the Badgers was Michaels with that coupon. hope it helps.

I have a badger 100 , if you like top feed they are fine . I have nothing bad I can say about it . Otherwise I would not of kept it all these years . Its a pain swapping nozzles and needles for the different size . And after each use I pull out the needle and wipe it down with a tissue moistened with lacquer thinner .

I also highly recommend Badger airbrushes. I have had one of mine for 32 years, and while it does not look its best it still works. I also have to very strongly agree with the comments about the Krome which is a great high end offering.

I have several air brushes but the Patriot is the one that I use 95% of the time. Such a solid all around performer.

Thayer & Chandler AB's are also owned by Badger and they are worth a look too. I have an Omni 4000 and it is a solid, reliable performer.

Parts for badgers are readily available and economical , compare the price of a badger nozzle to an iwata .

Some parts for the Badger Sotar and Krome can fit on to other models of badger airbrush for example the thumb rest, can be added to a model 100, 105 & 155

For my part, I used a Badger 200 for years and always was satisfied. The only drawback is that Badger seems to be harder and harder to find. The 200 is easy to use and to maintain.
