I almost finished my Trumpeter Strv103C with some additional details. I am not sure wether to make the bars seen on the front of some Strv103C's. Can anyone help me when those were installed and if I should make them?

Most of what I've seen regarding the bar armor is that it was 'top secret' and rarely displayed. In conjunction with what I've read about the side fuel can armour sometimes being left off for maneuver one could assume that the front bar armor rarely made it out into the field.

I'll be leaving the side armor to hide the excess in the rubberband track.

If anybody will know this, it is Thord wedman aka "The swede".
